During this class you will learn geometric patterns associated with the Mughal Empire. Indigenous patterns will be explored and constructed using ruler, pencil and compass. Geometric patterns from mosques, mausoleums and madrasas will be investigated.
The symbolism, historical significance and and spiritual importance of some motifs will be shared at the beginning of the class as a part of a short presentation that will allow students to become acquainted with the subject matter in a deeper way.
This is a two part class. This is the second part of the Mughal patterns course series
